Sunrise at Pleasure House Point

The Moore Family is a referral from another client I had the pleasure of photographing last year, & will be photographing again later this fall. Referrals are my bread & butter, & I couldn’t be more grateful!!

Sunrise sessions are a wonderful option for many reasons. This location we shot at, Pleasure House Point Natural Area in Virginia Beach, is an incredibly popular spot for photos. This is especially true on weekends, so when a client opts for this location, I do my best to nudge them towards sunrise. It can be a tough sell, but some, like the Moore family, have no problem going for it. So the next time a photographer suggests shooting first thing in the morning, know that the light tends to be so soft & beautiful & flattering; there’s a good chance you’ll have the location to yourselves; & it’ll be over just in time for breakfast in your pretty clothes.
