Fort Monroe National Monument

What made this family session at Fort Monroe a bit unique is the fact that we didn’t have much beach space to work with. A ton of beachgoers strewn around the place, but we stumbled upon a little corner that seemed mostly inhabited. It’s all we needed to shoot a full session.
Like a lot of kids his age, their son didn’t seem interested at all in what we were doing there. He actually didn’t seem interested in the whole beach experience. He was over it before it began. His poor parents didn’t know what to do, so I reminded them that no matter how his son seemed to feel that they should love on each other, smile, and laugh. Maybe he’ll come around. And, he did! One of my all-time favorite outdoor family sessions because we all learned to adjust and overcome the small obstacles thrown our way. It’s why I decided to finally blog this session because I want their beautiful faces forever framed on my website.

Not sure an outdoor session is your thing? I specialize in sessions done at home, too. Check out this blog of one of my favorite in-home sessions https://camillecamacho.com/2018/06/05/smith-family-in-the-nest-chesapeake-virginia/
