A backyard wedding was in the throes of preparation in Virginia Beach when I arrived. It was a gorgeous summer evening busy with a scene of people prepping the backyard for what would be the sweetest ceremony. Once I walked around a bit & introduced myself to people, I realized rather quickly that everyone there was either a family member or a friend. No caterers, vendors, or hired help. Just loved ones pitching in to celebrate two people madly in love. It was the loveliest thing. I fit right in with everyone!
Michelle hired me for 6 hours. I was able to be there from the finishing touches of getting ready, to the end once the party began to die down. I was booked almost an entire year before this special day. Michelle + I chatted quite a bit in that time. In addition, we even met up at the wedding location in the pouring rain to plan out the timeline together. Our client-photographer relationship quickly blossomed to a sweet friendship, as a result, & I couldn’t be happier to have been a part of her & Chance’s beautiful backyard wedding!
